"We still have three All-Stars when Steph goes down", Kerr said after the game (ESPN).

Every day in the National Basketball Association there is a lot to unpack, so every weekday morning throughout the season we will give you the three things you need to know from the last 24 hours in the National Basketball Association.

Durant hit his third straight jumper to tie it with 2:01 remaining before the Warriors went ahead on Draymond Green's putback the following possession.

"He wanted to lobby to come back in the game, but we wouldn't let him".

Davis Bertans fouled Durant on a 3-point attempt with 3:51 left to play, and the Warriors forward knocked down all three foul shots to pull Golden State within four points, 103-99.

For those who may not remember, before Curry became the superstar sensation that he is today, he was constantly hobbled by ankle problems early in his career.

Steph Curry said a variety of reasons are keeping him out from the Olympics, including some injuries.

San Antonio got a great night out of LaMarcus Aldridge (30 points and 17 rebounds). Five other players did score in double figures, but that group was led by Dejounte Murray with just 14 points.

Head coach Steve Kerr confirmed after the contest that Curry will not travel with the team to face the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night and will also miss Sunday's clash with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Spurs' next two games are at Oklahoma City and at Houston, and they have 10-of-12 against teams now in the playoffs coming up.

So even though he doesn't put up 20-plus points a game, when he saw Curry go down, he knew it was on him to make the difference. Klay Thompson talked about feeling some soreness in his hip after the game. "Who doesn't want to be the No. 1 seed?" While Golden State would still be the favorites in a series without the home court advantage, having Curry healthy for the postseason is of the utmost importance.

Leonard's return could happen soon, as he continues to work his way back. But this Thursday night on the road with a battered up team isn't likely to be the spot that the Spurs snap their losing streak against the Warriors.
