Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has gone to a hospital in the United States for a routine check, a senior Palestinian official told Reuters on Thursday.

Palestinians said they will take several steps in response to the us move, including joining global agreements, requesting full United Nations membership and resorting to the worldwide Criminal Court, which Harb believes Abbas's speech evaded from.

In a statement to the Security Council read Thursday by former USA ambassador Richard Murphy, Carter said that a two-state solution "must be anchored on 1967 borders with agreed upon adjustments and with Jerusalem as the capital for both Israelis and Palestinians".

Abbas proposed to hold an global conference to discuss final status issues including Jerusalem and the establishment of a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders in line with worldwide legitimacy resolutions.

In his speech to the United Nations on Tuesday, Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas will confront the USA decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Russia's U.N. ambassador, Vasily Nebenzia, urged the Arab League and the Middle East Quartet - which includes representatives from the United States, the European Union , Russia and the United Nations - to step in to revive stalled political talks. Haley was referring to the surprise presence of Jared Kushner, President Trump's son-in-law and Middle East adviser, who sat with the American delegation in the Security Council chamber.

"You don't have to like it, but that position won't change", she declared, adding, "Our negotiators are sitting right behind me, ready to talk".

"We are ready to undertake the longest journeys to the farthest places in the world in order to realise our rights", he said. "Is it for the two-state solution, or for one-state?"

Abbas said the principle of two-states living side-by-side with full sovereignty must be preserved, but he said the USA has not clarified whether it is for a two-state or a one-state solution.

She stressed that "We will not chase after you", addressing Abbas again, "The choice, Mr. President, is yours".

Abbas spoke before Haley and slammed the U.S. for not clarifying its point on keeping the Palestine Liberation Organization on its terror watch list. But there have been no serious negotiations since gaps widened following the 2009 election of Benjamin Netanyahu as Israel's prime minister.

Israeli forces Wednesday razed lands in the village of Thahr al-Maleh, to the southwest of the city of Jenin in the north of the occupied West Bank, and in the Hebron area in the south of the West Bank, local sources said.
