Wide receiver Jacob Copeland chose to attend Florida over Alabama and Tennesse on Wednesday, and his mother was less than pleased.

In the video, Copeland's mom seemed to be taken aback after the student athlete chooses the University of Florida's Gators cap instead of hats representing Alabama and Tennessee.

National Signing Day is supposed to be an overwhelmingly joyous occasion for the parents of recruits.

The 6-foot wide receiver committed to Florida.

Thankfully, what could have made for a very unfortunate story got turned around with a twist as mom later returned to congratulate her son on his college destination.

I mean, it was fairly obvious she had her two favorites in mind while Copeland had another idea.

Copeland's mother walked off the stage nearly immediately after his decision was announced. This is arguably the biggest day of Jacob Copeland's life and his mother's act is overshadowing it. Seated to his right was his mother, wearing an Alabama sweatshirt and a Tennessee knit hat.

Despite her apparent disgust at her son's choice, Momma Copeland returned to the ceremony, hugged him and signed the letter of intent. He was listed as the No. 40 player in the 2018 ESPN 300.
