Earlier in the day, two attackers and two over ground workers (OGW) have been arrested in connection with the attack on Srinagar's SMHS Hospital firing, which led to the escape of one detained Pakistani terrorist.

Abdul Rahim, who had come from Shopian to SMHS hospital for his monthly checkup, said that he saw a posse of police personnel and army men running towards the area where the shooting occurred. He is said to be calling his devotees and guests without hindrance to his barrack and giving them amulets and money from a welfare fund operated by him from within the jail.
