Vice President Mike Pence talks economy at local business in Greenbrier County

During a speech touting tax reform in West Virginia Wednesday, Vice President Mike Pence encouraged the crowd to let Manchin know "you expect better" and slighted him for voting with his own party.

Speaking to employees at in White Sulfur Springs, West Virginia, chided for his vote against the tax-cut plan in December.

"When the time came to repeal & replace the disaster of Obamacare, Joe voted NO".

On the domestic front, Pence said illegal crossings at the country's southern border are down by more than 50 percent and coal production is up by 25 percent in West Virginia over the previous year.

Chastising President Obama as a "Chicago liberal", Dotson said, "This administration's policies show they believe in America".

President Trump's State of the Union address provided a familiar list of proposals, but lawmakers haven't rallied around an agenda in the same way Republicans did in 2017 on health care and taxes.

"Last week, I worked in a bipartisan way with Senator Collins to end the shutdown, and last night President Trump called for unity and bipartisanship", the senator continued.

Pence's tweets hitting Manchin occurred as he was scheduled to make two speeches in Greenbrier County, West Virginia, according to the Charleston Gazette-Mail.

Pence will also speak at the GOP Legislative Retreat at The Greenbrier Resort.

Capito on Thursday also rejects Manchin's comment about Washington.
