The two factions announced late Wednesday that they were postponing a planned handover of governing duties in the Gaza Strip from Hamas to the Palestinian Authority government based in the occupied West Bank. The video also cited Hamas's crackdown on militant groups in the Gaza Strip as reason to attack it.

No injuries were reported on either side of the fence dividing the Gaza Strip from Israel.

"Life is really hard in Gaza nowadays".

"The President is a master dealmaker and is as committed to trying to achieve the ultimate peace deal as ever, but he will not tolerate falsehoods being spread about America and our positions - and he certainly will not spend taxpayer dollars to subsidize those who spread them", the official said. In the video, ISIS members execute a man accused of collaborating with Hamas's military wing. Use explosives, pistols, and bombs. "Bomb their courts and their security locations, for these are the pillars of tyranny that prop up its throne", said the knife wielding narrator of the video, according to a translation by the SITE Intelligence Group, that monitors extremist web sites.

Images of Khaled Meshaal, the former Hamas leader, and Iran's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei then flash on the screen.

Iran has publicly backed the Palestinian group in recent years, providing it with missiles and funding its extensive tunnel network it uses to enter Israeli territory, reports Newsweek.

"Even if the flawed decision to supply less than maximum capacity is reversed, Israel must work to increase supply in cooperation with all responsible parties to resolve Gaza's continued electricity crisis without delay", the group added on its website.

While some thought Donald Trump's December decision to relocate the USA embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem would ignite a fourth war Hamas' response has been muted. However, the group stops short of calling for Sharia law.

The attack was planned with military precision and carried out with deadly efficiency - a far cry from the hit-and-run attacks on Egyptian security forces that ISIS-Sinai was known for previously. It claims it only does to punish those who collaborate with its nemesis Israel.
