The set includes the game discs of Dark Souls Remastered, Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, and Dark Souls III The Fire Fades Edition in a lovely package imitating an old book, in which we also find the soundtrack of the games in 2 discs for each entry. This is an exciting development for those who own a Switch and have never played Dark Souls before, but if the announcement got you Dark Souls veterans in the mood to give the game another go, then we've got some good news for you. Along with the visual enhancements, the game will include the DLC from the first game, 'Artorias of the Abyss'. The title is also headed for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC as well.

The game is going to run at 1080p and 30fps on the Nintendo Switch when docked.

Nintendo made a number of announcements in a Nintendo Direct Mini video this morning. Dark Souls Remastered will be available on Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Last but not least, the Dark Souls Trilogy Box Set includes a Memorial Art Set with 10 pieces of artwork from all three games, featuring new graphics to use at your will. There's no word yet on whether or not we'll see the Trilogy Box released outside of Japan, but we're hoping Dark Souls' global appeal has reached a point where shipping a few (thousand) Trilogy Boxes to Europe and North America makes sense.

It looks like Nintendo Switch will have another stellar year. Dark Souls as a series has garnered critical acclaim for its intense combat difficulty matched by an unforgiving nature. Ideal for Dark Souls superfans, the box set includes a pair of bookends that are created to look just like a fireplace, as well as a book for collectors, and several stunning art prints.
