Miles Sanders, who is splitting series with Barkley, scored too.

Barkley has not officially declared for the NFL Draft as of yet, but the consensus is that he will shortly after the Fiesta Bowl matchup against Washington on Saturday.

The Nittany Lions jumped out to an early 21-7 lead and held on for a 35-28 win after Washington closed to within a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Barkley had nine carries for 126 yards and two touchdowns in the first half. Apparently it left a little more than just a mark.

Penn State destroyed Washington on third downs throughout the entire game. Trace McSorley was 18-of-24 for 219 yards, a touchdown and an interception at halftime.

DaeSean Hamilton opened the scoring for the blue and white with a 48-yard touchdown reception off a flawless throw from Trace McSorley before Barkley scored his first touchdown of the day from two yards out.

Washington scored the final touchdown of the first half, but that only pulled the Huskies to within 28-14.

Washington was the final Pac-12 team to play in a bowl after the 2017 season.

Some people out west may not feel that the SEC deserves to have two teams in the College Football Playoff, but the Pac-12 has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that it had absolutely no business even sniffing the playoff. Big Ten teams (Purdue, Michigan State, Ohio State and Penn State) went 4-0 over Pac-12 teams (Arizona, Washington State, USC and Washington).
