STEELERS ON 11: Steelers clinch first-round bye with win against Texans

Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown will have an extra week to recover if the plan is for him to return from his calf injury for the team's first postseason game.

Mike Hilton and Cameron Heyward recorded multisack games and the Pittsburgh Steelers remained in the running for home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs by breezing to a 34-6 victory over the Houston Texans on Monday at NRG Stadium. The top two seeds in each conference receive a first-round bye.

With the Texans trailing 27-0 early in the fourth quarter, T.J. Yates threw a lob to Hopkins in the left corner of the end zone.

JuJu Smith-Schuster #19 of the Pittsburgh Steelers runs after a catch in the third quarter defended by Kevin Johnson #30 of the Houston Texans on December 25 in Houston. He was evaluated for a concussion and later ruled out for the rest of the game. Rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster is the next leading receiver with 43 receptions for 699 yards and five touchdowns.

The Texans have lost four straight games. The Texans finish up the season by visiting the Colts in Week 17.

The Texans will be hoping Deshaun Watson provides that next season while the Steelers are moving on to more immediate goals.
