Trump's failure in United Nations over Jerusalem a 'gift to Iran'

Among the quartet, only South Sudan did not vote against the US. She, of course is right.

The move followed after defying the USA warning, 128 nations supported the UN resolution that declared "America's coronation of Jerusalem as Israel's capital" null and void, on Thursday. To sit amongst so many people who hate you and speak truth in an unwavering voice isn't easy.

The Trump administration has worked out some "historic" belt-tightening at the United Nations, officials announced Sunday. How refreshing it is to see someone with integrity, poise resolve and commitment to the truth.

A day ahead of the Jerusalem vote, Trump said he'd be closely eyeing the outcome and turning off the spigot for nations voting against the resolution.

"This historic reduction in spending - in addition to many other moves toward a more efficient and accountable United Nations - is a big step in the right direction".

She also put up a list on Twitter, thanking countries who didn't defy the USA decision.

"The fact that this veto is being done in defense of American sovereignty and in defense of America's role in the Middle East peace process is not a source of embarrassment for us; it should be an embarrassment to the remainder of the Security Council", Haley stated.

Trump didn't set any timetable for moving the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and neither did Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales.

The 35 countries that abstained from voting for the Resolution were: Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Benin, Bhutan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cameroon, Canada, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Fiji, Haiti, Hungary, Jamaica, Latvia, Lesotho, Kiribati, Malawi, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Rwanda, Solomon Islands, South Sudan, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu.

The majority vote in UNGA has proved that USA President Donald Trump's decision was unjust and discriminatory. "Thank you, Nikki Haley", Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wrote on his Twitter account.

Separatists as well as mainstream politicians here welcomed the resolution adopted by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Jerusalemthat called upon United States to drop its recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital. She then added, "No vote in the United Nations will make any difference on that". Haley immediately responded by threatening to reduce America's United Nations funding.

The U.N.'s 193-member General Assembly on December 21 adopted a resolution on Jerusalem with an overwhelming majority of them calling on the US to withdraw its recognition of the city as the capital of Israel. Today, we acknowledge that Jerusalem is the Israeli capital.
