Surjewala's remarks come after all accused in the 2G spectrum allocation scam case, including former telecom minister A Raja and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MP Kanimozhi, were acquitted by the special CBI court on Thursday for want of evidences. He claimed that whatever Gandhi might say, his party would not return to power as people know its "corrupt face". The whole architecture of the BJP is about lies. "One thing which very clearly emerges that there was a conspiracy whereby an architecture of untruth and entire campaign of insinuations and calumny was systematically built in order to tarnish the image of the then UPA government", he told reporters.
