"It features a 13.3" Samsung RealView touch-enabled display with 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution and 95% sRGB coverage.

It thus makes flawless sense for the Samsung Notebook 9 Pen and Notebook 9 (2018) to be unveiled today ahead of commercial launches in Korea later this same month, followed by U.S. expansions in the first quarter of the new year. The 15-inch model is a bit more flexible since its single USB Type-C port also supports Thunderbolt 3 and it also has an extra USB 2.0 port. Unique among the three, it features an IR camera that supports Windows Hello facial recognition sign-in. "The 15" model can also be configured with NVIDIA GeForce MX150 discrete graphics featuring 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM. Unlike a few rivals, the S Pen doesn't need to be charged and is designed for immediate use.

The port selection on the 13-inch model includes one USB Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, one HDMI port and microSD card slot.

The Samsung Notebook 9 (2018) will be available first in South Korea and in select countries sometime later this month, while the United States will get them sometime during the first quarter of 2018. It's a 2-in-1 PC that comes with the same Metal12 chassis that's on the Notebook 9 (2018). The notebook features a 360-degree hinge that allows for the notebook to be used in tablet mode or tent mode. The 13-inch model will feature the 8 generation Intel Core i7 CPU coupled with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage, thanks to its "Metal12" magnesium-aluminum alloy that weighs only 2.2 pounds.

As for the "regular" Notebook 9 laptops, these will come in three different flavors, ranging from 13.3-inch displays to that of 15-inch, and save for their differences in design and lack of a touchscreen display, they will share similar hardware specs in terms of RAM and processor. Storage tops off at 512GB of NVMe PCIe memory and it only has an integrated Intel HD Graphics. The Pen model comes with a smaller 35Wh battery. When the S Pen is removed from the notebook, the Air Command menu launches automatically.

All the new notebooks announced by Samsung today feature a backlit keyboard, precision touchpad, and a fingerprint sensor. It's also slated for release in the USA during the first quarter of 2018.

Other than the Notebook 9 Pen, Samsung also launched the 2018 edition of the Notebook 9.

The Notebook 9 Pen guarantees adaptability and compactness.
