The Buffalo Bills will look to keep their playoff aspirations alive at home Sunday against the last-place Indianapolis Colts. However Taylor suffered a patellar tendon contusion and didn't finish the game.

LeSean McCoy ran through the snow-covered turf at New Era Field for a 21-yard touchdown that saved the Buffalo Bills' from an ugly tie to the Indianapolis Colts and may have saved their season in the process.

Turns out, Mother Nature wasn't impressed.

The teams played in near white-out conditions, and it was snowing so hard, players could barely see the field. The Colts made a decision to put their trust in veteran kicker Adam Vinatieri to hit in the snow and against the wind from 43 yards out.

Visibility improved in the second quarter, which finally featured scoring in Buffalo's 2-minute drill.

McCoy upped his season total to 1,007 in reaching the 1,000-yard mark for the sixth time of his 13-year career.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Joe Webb had 1 passing yard since the 2011 National Football League season until he connected with Deonte Thompson for a 34-yard gain on Sunday. They came out in full force for the team's game against the Colts, even though there wasn't much to see. Jacoby Brissett was 11-of-22 passing for 69 yards and a touchdown pass to tight end Jack Doyle.

Rather than try a 12-yard 2-point conversion, Pagano opted to send Vinatieri out to try a 43-yard extra point.

The Colts were forced to clear a spot for Vinatieri, who kicked in the infamous tuck game with the New England Patriots in 2001, as nine players used their feet to help move the snow.

Bills: Rookie Nathan Peterman went 5 of 10 for 57 yards before being sidelined by a head injury late in the third quarter.

Colts safety Matthias Farley intercepted Bills backup quarterback Joe Webb at the Buffalo 28 with 43 seconds left in regulation, but Vinatieri's 43-yard field-goal attempt sailed wide left. McCoy finished with 4.9 yards-per-carry on 32 carries. For the most part I was cutting and running and stopping where other guys were slipping. Gore seemed to get stronger as the game went on - his pitch count was discarded by Pagano in favor of retaining a chance to win.

Buffalo coach Sean McDermott brought Webb to Buffalo after the Panthers released him at the end of the preseason. "I always want to play".
