Ohio State heads to Cotton Bowl vs USC

Penn State last played in the Fiesta Bowl in 1997, beating Texas 38-15. Penn State will travel to Arizona for the Fiesta Bowl.

It might not be the College Football Playoffs but the Nittany Lions are still headed to a New Year's Six bowl game.

Penn State never trailed in the contest and led by eight points with 4:43 left in the game, but two quick scores by Hawkeyes Jordan Bohannan and Isaiah Moss in the next 25 seconds sliced the Nittany Lion lead to three, 67-64. That game was played at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Ariz.

No. 11 Washington, tied for second in the Pac-12 North, is also 10-2, with losses to unranked Arizona State, 13-7, and No. 13 Stanford, 30-22.

The Big Ten-champion Buckeyes will play in the Cotton Bowl on December 29 against Pac-12 champion Southern California.

Washington was No. 5 in the AP poll when it surprisingly lost 13-7 to Arizona State on October 14.
