Authorities said Caitlyn Morgan Frisina ran away from her home in Lake City, Florida, early last Sunday with 27-year-old Rian Rodriguez, a soccer coach at her high school.

In addition, Frasina's parents discovered sexual messages on Snapchat between her and Rodriguez after her disappearance.

According to a missing persons report, Frisina left her home through her bedroom window, taking some clothes and her wallet but leaving her cellphone, which had been erased of data.

Scarlet Frisina, the teen's mother told CBS News on Friday, "I know that she to some degree left on her own".

Caitlyn Frisina, 17, was believed to be heading north with Rian Rodriguez, a 27-year-old soccer coach after they were spotted at a pawn shop in Syracuse on Sunday.

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office said Caitlyn is being held by police, and her family has been notified. But I absolutely believe that she was lied to and totally misled.

The Gainesville Sun reported that the girl and Rian Rodriguez were stopped by a New York State Police officer Friday afternoon in Syracuse.

Columbia County deputies say Rodriquez is now charged with interference in child custody.

The sheriff's office did not immediately provide details on the circumstances surrounding the girl being found.

Officials at Fort White High School have suspended Rodriguez.

Sheriff Mark Hunter said, "She is legally a juvenile".

A photo provided to ABC News by the family on Saturday showed Frisina smiling while embracing her parents.
