The movie reviews aggregator said this week that Lady Bird, the coming-of-age film released November 3, has topped 1999's Toy Story 2 (Pixar) as the film with more positive reviews and zero negative reviews (so far) than any other movie on the website.

Instead, it's a coming-of-age tale about a teenage girl who has a tense relationship with her mother.

"This is completely awesome and so incredibly appreciated by the entire team that made Lady Bird", Gerwig said exclusively to RT, "We put our heart and souls into this movie, and the last step of this deeply collaborative art form of filmmaking is giving the film to the audience and the film critics".

Lady Bird dethroned 1999's Toy Story 2 from the top spot on the basis of the number of reviews counted.

Anyway, it's now had 170 reviews, and they've all been positive, making it the best-reviewed movie on the site, ever. The film joins just five others that have earned a flawless Rotten Tomatoes score this year: Faces Places, Jane, The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki, Truman and Bright Lights.

According to critics, Lady Bird is a flawless movie.

As of Tuesday morning, the film written by Gerwig and starring Saoirse Ronan found itself at 170 fresh reviews and counting, with an overall rating of 8.9 out of 10 from critics and no "rotten" reviews. The more positive "fresh" reviews from critics, the higher a film's Rotten Tomato rating will be.

Originally released in just two cities, "Lady Bird" expanded to theaters nationwide November 24.
