Teams from three Colorado universities were selected Sunday night to compete in the 2017 NCAA Women's Volleyball Tournament. Also participating in the region is Missouri State (28-5) and Michigan State (21-8), who play before the Chants at 5 p.m. (ET) on Friday.

In his second season at the helm, head coach Tony Graystone has led the Red Raiders to their first regular season winning record and postseason berth since 2001. "And then, the excitement on the girls' faces is priceless, as we're excited to extend our season. So that's certainly going to be showing on Friday night". Junior outside hitter Taryn Kloth (3.05 kps.) was named Second Team All-BIG EAST and earned MVP honors at the BIG EAST Championships after leading CU to the title in Saturday's 3-2 win at Marquette.

With a victory, Notre Dame will play the victor of No. 4 seed Kentucky and ETSU for a chance to move on to the round of 16. They're well-coached, well-trained. And there's no gimmes, I don't think, anymore in the NCAA tournament. And with the Gophers having been to the Final Four the past two seasons - and 22 tournaments overall - the experience will only help.

North Dakota punched its NCAA tournament ticket after winning the Big Sky for the second-straight season. Under Hilbert, CSU is 19-20 in the NCAA Tournament, including six "Sweet 16" appearances.

Notre Dame's best finish at the NCAA Championships came in 1993, when the Irish advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating No. 8 Nebraska and Minnesota. With a win, the Badgers would face the victor of the Princeton-Iowa State match.

Missouri State's 10th NCAA trip in the last 15 seasons and 13th overall includes No. 9 national seed Creighton and Coastal Carolina in the other half of the four-team regional. The longtime Big Eight and Big 12 rivals parted ways when Mizzou left for the Southeastern Conference in 2012, though KU beat MU in the first round of the 2015 tournament.

Per the established bracketing principles, the top 16 seeds were provided the opportunity to host.

CU confronts 23-5 James Madison, the winners of the Colonial Athletic Association conference championship, at 3:30 p.m.MDT.
