Last season, Talib snatched a chain off of Crabtree's neck, prompting Crabtree to confront him on the field. After being briefly separated, both players broke away from teammates and threw punches at one another.

"I came out there to play football on Sunday".

Then, it came to light that Crabtree actually punched Chris Harris Jr. -the corner opposite of Talib-in the gut the play before, seemingly sparking Talib to retaliate on the very next play, sparking the brawl. He wanted to come out and wrestle all day.

Prior to their ejections, Crabtree and Talib exchanged shoves and traded some blows that precipitated into the teams' benches nearly emptying with several players going to the field in hopes of pacifying the two combating players. Crabtree was seen near the end zone taking a swing at Talib before several players intervened. The first half, that was him.

Talib didn't seem anxious about additional discipline from the league, saying that, "I hope the league see that, basically, how is started".

"There was. I guess the second half of it definitely could have been defused", Talib said.

"I'll say this, I'm not sure how it all started".

Harris continued, per Troy Renck: "He didn't come to play football". "When those things start, it's a fine line between once it starts and not defending yourself..."

"No, I didn't even defend Chris. I told our guys I don't want it". It eventually turned into a full-on brawl with punches being thrown and others getting involved.

The league said it is standard procedure to review everything from Sunday's slate of games, and certainly the altercation in Oakland will be included.

"I hope the league sees basically how it started and sees I didn't come out there to fight and wrestle with him". If you have no chance, you defend yourself as a man.
