Taylor Swift Went Full Pop Star For 'Ready For It' On SNL

Taylor Swift kept things simple - or at least as simple as she'll go - for her appearance as musical guest on "Saturday Night Live" on November 11, the day after her sixth studio album "Reputation" was released. "I LOVE YOU @LauraKHettiger".

Over the course of 15 songs, Swift masks her bitterness under a coat of radio-ready hooks that nearly cause listeners to forget she's singing about pop culture headlines and petty feuds.

Taylor Swift fans who picked up a physical copy of new album Reputation were treated to a heartfelt letter from the singer. "Here's something I've learned about people", she wrote. The release of Reputation this week is just further proof of that, and now we're all going to ride the wave of her latest success whether we want to or not. She gave us everything.

"I've been in the public eye since I was 15-years-old".

"On the other side of the coin, my mistakes have been used against me, my heartbreaks have been used as entertainment, and my songwriting has been trivialised as "oversharing".

Surprisingly, given the electronic sonics of the new album, she was seated with an acoustic guitar for her second song, a gentle version of the album's fourth single, "Call It What You Want".

She focused on her delivery (a tough feat, her mic was bedazzled with a big rhinestone snake), and you could read her lyrics in her facial expressions as she bounced through the track.
