Kelly last week lashed out at Wilson after the congresswoman revealed a phone call between President Donald Trump and the pregnant widow of U.S. Army Sgt.

Staff Sgt. Bryan C. Black, 35, of Puyallup, Washington; Staff Sgt. Jeremiah W. Johnson, 39, of Springboro, Ohio; and Staff Sgt. Dustin M. Wright, 29, of Lyons, Georgia, were killed along with Johnson in Niger.

The row between Wilson and Trump began October 17 when the Miami-area Democrat said Trump told Myeshia Johnson in a phone call that her husband "knew what he signed up for" and didn't appear to know his name, a version later backed up by Johnson's aunt. "The president said that he knew what he signed up for, but it hurts anyways". "I need to see him so I will know that that is my husband", she said.

Trump called the condolence call a "respectful conversation", claiming that he used the soldier's name "without hesitation!" Trump denied he said so, though Myeshia Johnson said on "Good Morning America" Wilson was "100 percent correct".

She added: "Everyone knows when you go to war, you could possibly not come back alive".

When host George Stephanopoulos asked if she had anything to say to the President, Johnson was direct.

Trump's tweet will do little to shut down a controversy that has swirled around the president since last week. Johnson's family, who were dressed in white, openly wept over the death of the 25-year-old Army sergeant.

Johnson's GMA appearance comes during a swirling political debate over the circumstances of the death of her husband and three other USA soldiers in Niger. She also said he was "a loving and caring father and husband". She wants to know why it reportedly took 48 hours to find his body - and even questioned if it's really him in the coffin. He couldn't remember my husband's name.

In other tweets, Mr Trump called her "wacky" and accused her of "secretly" listening to the phone call. She described Trump as "stumbling on my husband's name - that's what hurt me most". "The only way he remembered my husband's name because he told me he had my husband's report in front of him and that's when he actually said La David".
