Processor: It is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core Exynos processor. Dubbed as Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017), the smartphone comes with entry-level specs.

On the photography front, the Galaxy J2 sports a 5MP auto-focus rear camera with flash and a 2-MP front camera.

As for software, the Galaxy J2 2017 Edition comes with the company's signature Ultra Data Saving Mode to save up to 50% of data consumption. The Smart Manager is meant for automatic memory management which will help users delete saved APK files as well as duplicate images on the smartphone automatically. When this mode is on, the background apps including WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger and others do not use your mobile data and data will only be used for the app you are now using. Even without the iPhone X, we probably should have expected this from Samsung, with both the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy Note 8 offering - admittedly sub-par - facial recognition features of their own. There's a 12MP camera for photos and videos, 8MP front-facing camera, a monstrous 4,000 mAh battery and ships with Android 7.0 Nougat.

The Galaxy J2 (2017) is offered in Metallic Gold and Absolute Black colors.

Measuring 136.5 x 69.0 x 8.4mm, the smartphone weighs 130 grams. The dual-SIM handset also supports USB OTG (on-the-go), which is a rarity in this segment. According to a Mumbai-based offline retailer Mahesh Telecom, the handset comes at a price of Rs 7,390, though there's no official confirmation.
