The leaked images also confirmed the existence of 50 new Halloween-themed items, which will nearly certainly be available in special Jack-o-lantern loot boxes.

The Overwatch Halloween Terror 2017 event begins later today, and will wrap up on November 2. "We're also re-opening our crypt so players can unlock their favorite Halloween-themed items from a year ago along with over 50 new tantalizing treats, including legendary skins like Corsair Ana, Van Helsing McCree, Dragon Symmetra, Cultist Zenyatta, and more", the company noted in its blog post.

Last year's items are also available in Loot Boxes and for a discounted price of in-game gold. During a teaser earlier this week, we've already seen McCree as Van Helsing and Reaper getting his Dracula on; but now we get a chance to see a few more of the skins on the way. They can also go full Viking, or Corsair, Dragon Symmetra or rock in the Totally 80's Zarya style. Symetra will also be included as a new villain in Juneknestien's Army, joining the ranks of the Reaper, Junkenstein's Monster (Roadhog), and the Witch (Mercy).

Blizzard also points out that "New to the Arcade is Junkenstein's Revenge: Endless Night". The difficulty of this game mode can be adjusted from easy, normal and hard, and a performance grade is given based on the number of Zomnics killed, how many times players die and how much damage is taken by the castle gates of Adlersbrunn. Players can choose to be one of four heroes - Genji, Torbjorn, Zenyatta, and Widowmaker - and see how long they can last against the waves.

Survive for the longest period of time and earn a spot on the all-new leaderboard in Overwatch.

Last year Overwatch's Halloween event was probably the most successful the game had since its release and it is coming back as it was but with a little more trick-or-treating.
