National Football League notes: Watt, Beckham out for year; YA Tittle dies

Beckham suffered a fractured ankle during Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, and he will miss the remainder of the 2017 season. I'm so thankful for this game. Before suffering his ankle injury, Marshall had caught 18 passes for 154 yards this season.

The 12th-year receiver announced Monday that he will have season-ending ankle surgery, according to Giants Wire. Beckham has said he wants to be the highest-paid player in the National Football League, which was not going to happen even if he was soaring to new heights and leading the Giants to a glorious season.

You can expect Rogers Lewis to take on a starting role. The Giants placed Beckham and Harris, who is primarily a kick returner, on injured reserve.

The quarterback received treatment on his leg but would not say much about his injury.

The Giants fell to 0-5 after Sunday's loss, and the offense could be in for an even greater struggle moving forward with Beckham, Marshall and Harris on the shelf.

There are plenty of wide receivers out there who are free agents or are on other teams' practice squads. He had a strong offseason with the Giants, but was waived/injured in the summer due to a hamstring injury.

Eagan spent the majority of his time with the Buffalo Bills, both on the practice squad and the active roster. He's out for the year, and now Marshall is as well.

The Giants looked to re-sign Tavarres King, a receiver who spent the past three years with the team. For this type of injury, a full recovery is expected, although Ben McAdoo on Monday said, "That's unknown at this point". Next man up. They're well deserving of opportunities. For anything full market value, the Giants will want to wait and see Beckham return to health and regain his game-breaking form.
