"I a [sic] legitimately torn". Director Rian Johnson is split down the middle on telling fans to give the trailer a watch (or seventy) and he's got a very good reason for it...

Fans hoping to see more of Nyong'o as her wise old CGI character will sadly be disappointed, as Johnson says her role is even smaller in The Last Jedi.

Disney has announced that tickets for The Last Jedi will go on sale on Monday, October 9 after the new trailer is released.

Tickets for the film, the eighth in the Skywalker saga, go on sale shortly after the trailer's premiere on all the major theater chain's and move ticketing websites. (Interestingly, this news followed the debut of the new Justice League trailer and may have undercut that buzz a bit.) Each teaser featured a quick glimpse of new footage that will surely be in the full preview.

What are you going to do Star Wars fans, will you be watching the new trailer when it is released?

In addition to the film opening up on Thursday, December 14 for 7:00 PM screenings, various theaters will also be hosting double features of The Last Jedi with The Force Awakens that evening.

A new trailer for the movie will also air on US TV at a quarter past two tomorrow morning (8:15 p.m. EDT), so we'll have that up for you at a more reasonable hour.

This might be simultaneously the best and worst day of the year so far for Star Wars fans.

If you purchase tickets through Fandango, you will receive a complimentary Star Wars: The Last Jedi poster from Fandango FanShop, while supplies last.

On the positive side, tonight will bring a new trailer and the opportunity to finally buy tickets for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Carrie Fisher will appear as Leia Organa in the film, her last performance before her unexpected death last December.

As evidence, we present the trailer to the 1973 movie version of Westworld, which, while undeniably awesome, pretty much presents the entire plot in three minutes.
