Excitement is at a fever pitch for the eighth season of The Walking Dead, AMC's hit series, which returns for another go-around on October 22, as Rick and company go head-to-head against Negan and his crew in an all-out war.

Now that Fear The Walking Dead will be moving on from the Broke Jaw Ranch, the question is what is next for the survivors on AMC's zombie companion drama series and where they will go to find shelter from the undead as well as the elements. One of the odds-on crossover favorites has to be Heath, the Walking Dead character played by Corey Hawkins who suddenly vanished in the middle of season 7 and hasn't been seen since.

As of now, it hasn't been said which character would be visiting which show. I think that we've finally gotten to a place with Fear the Walking Dead where it has its own identity...there are two Walking Dead shows, I'm not going to name them, but there are two...

Speaking at NYCC this weekend, creator Robert Kirkman teased: "There is one character that is going to go from one show, that I will not name, to another show, that I will not name".

You can catch The Walking Dead season 8 in the USA on October 22 and on Fox October 23 in the UK.

It turns out there is a crossover planned between "The Walking Dead" and "Fear the Walking Dead" in the future...

Get ready, Walking Dead fans: two worlds are about to collide.

As Deadline reports, at a press conference before The Walking Dead's New York Comic Con panel, executive producer Greg Nicotero revealed that the season premiere of TWD will include "nods" to past seasons to commemorate the 100th episode.

And if you're not anxious about the Clark kids, AMC's synopsis says that another character "fights for survival", which is always an encouraging phrase to hear.

This latest scene comes as The Walking Dead writer Robert Kirkman confirmed that Rick would be meeting his demise at some point. Morgan perhaps? Let us know in the comments who you think it might be...
