It could also be an AR or VR accessory for the new smartphones, like a detachable camera.

Google has unveiled its own pair of earbuds today, calling it the Google Pixel Buds. Also, nothing leaves the device unless the user decides to download or send the images, which is a nice bit of security.

This combination of hardware and software also means the phone's rear camera will be the first to support Google Lens, which can identify objects, scenes, and other elements.

When Google Home Max launches later this year, it'll be accompanied by Smart Sound. Pixel 2 users will get unlimited cloud storage for high-resolution photos and videos. It carries a price-tag of $49 in United States and is going on pre-order beginning today. The search giant previous year too held the event on the same date and revealed devices such as the Pixel, Pixel XL, Google Home and more. But the camera bump on the new Pixel 2 is larger than before.

They're wireless, in that they don't need to be attached to the phone you're using them with.

In terms of battery life, the Pixel 2 phones will feature all-day battery life and quick charging.

Google this morning showed off its latest smartphones, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, following up on the release of the Pixel past year. This feature for now is only available in HTC U11. It will come with Android 8.0 Oreo but an update to 8.1 should not be far off after launch.

Unlike Apple's AirPods, the Pixel Buds have a wire connecting the two earpieces. Last week, Amazon announced the next generation of its Echo speaker, coming out in time for the holiday shopping season, will cost just $100, a price that Google decided not to match. There might be changes made on the inside.

The fabric-covered, voice-powered Google Home Mini is $49 and available for pre-order today; it arrives on October 19 in the Google Store and at other retailers. It will be a close rival to the Amazon Echo Dot.

But what can the new Google Home Mini do? The material used on the Google Home Mini was created by Google from the scratch. Not much is known about the device but 9to5Google says it will be competing with the Sonos Play 3 speaker and will have a "premium" design. This Chrome OS laptop comes with a 4-in-1 hybrid form-factor, allowing you to use the device not just as a laptop but also as tablet and more.

The Pixelbook is available in three configurations starting at $1299 CAD, which Google says is "so you can choose the processing power, memory and storage you want".
