Maye Musk just became the newest CoverGirl. Not only is Musk a successful model with two master's degrees in nutrition and dietetics, she's also the mother of billionaire Elan Musk.

Musk, for her part, is still passionate about the career she embarked upon decades ago, saying: "With wearing makeup a part of my job as a model, one might think I'd get exhausted of it, but I absolutely love it".

CoverGirl just added Maye Musk to its long line of brand ambassadors.

Having signed with IMG Models in 2015, Maye has no plans to slow down when it comes to her career, and is looking forward to sharing her love of cosmetics by fronting CoverGirl's upcoming campaigns. She shared her picture and wrote, "I'm so excited to say that I'm now officially a COVERGIRL!"

The South African-raised model has been in the industry for over 50 years, and she's still working: she walked in the Concept Korea NYFW show earlier this month.

Her son, Elon Musk is the CEO and CTO os SpaceX, co-founder, a Series A invester and product architect of Tesla. "Beauty is for all ages". Maye is an affirmation of the power and importance of diversity and inclusivity in the world of Beauty. After all, as the newest face of CoverGirl-the latest addition to an already impressive resume for the 69-year-old model, whose credits also include being Elon Musk's mom-she's likely got foundation to spare right now.

"Just getting started" is my hashtag", she tells the newspaper since she previously only modeled part-time.

"I think that women will be really inspired to see that even at 69 you can get a beauty campaign", she said.

CoverGirl has been building a diverse roster of brand ambassadors over that time, bringing on its first male face, James Charles in October of previous year, followed by its first hijab-wearing CoverGirl, Nura Afia, last November.
