MI to wear all-maize uniforms in opener vs. Florida

Michigan, and everyone else, will have to wait until Saturday to find out who starts at quarterback for the Gators.

Of course, the 17th-ranked Gators still have not determined a starting quarterback, at least publicly.

"Yes, we'd like to have that information from them". Based on comments both coaches made today, they are being stingy with information simply to rile each other up. "As I said before, people make a lot of a big deal about our roster or not announcing a starting quarterback". "So, no, we're not announcing our starting quarterback".

Meanwhile, at McElwain's Monday presser he took a jab at Harbaugh's conduct as a head coach. The uniform is said to be inspired by recent alternative uniforms Nike created for the LA Rams, as seen below.

When asked if it would be a game-time decision on who starts, McElwain said, "We've got a plan".

MI will be rocking an all-maize look against Florida this weekend.

Florida quarterback's Feleipe Franks (13) and Malik Zaire (8) work at practice.

McElwain said Monday that his staff has a quarterback plan for Saturday's game, but that he wants MI to have to prepare for several potential looks.

Florida and MI crossed paths at the end of McElwain's and Harbaugh's first seasons at their respective schools.

Florida will be wearing a new all-blue uniform.

Freshman receiver James Robinson has been suspended for Saturday's game against the No. 11 Wolverines (3:30 p.m., ABC), Gators coach Jim McElwain told reporters Monday.
