Motorola just announced a superthin smartphone with a 'shatterproof' display

Moto Z2 Force is a slightly upgraded version of Moto Z Force, with the embedded fingerprint scanner present under the display.

The changes in the front are minimal. In fact, the place you were most likely to notice it - the thickness - has been even further reduced in the Z2 Force. The Moto Z2 Force is between $749 and $810 depending on the carrier. If you guys want to own it, you can do so by pre-booking it now. Like other leading smartphones available on the market, this Motorola phone is powered by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. Worry no more. The Moto Z 2 Force Edition is redesigned from the ground up with a sexy unibody design that wraps an ultra-tough, water-resistant *** aluminum casing around Motorola's ShatterShield display, which is guaranteed not to crack or shatter.

Motorola is back with yet another smartphone in the Moto Z series. Both feature microSD support for memory card expansion, however. And yes, the Moto Z2 Force doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack, much like the 2017 flagship phones from HTC and Xiaomi. As expected, it has a 2,730mAh battery which is a big decline compared to last year's Force which had a 3,500mAh battery. The camera application will have additional features as well including the ability to add depth-of-field effects, a "True B&W" mode, and more.

The Mod uses the same magnetic pins to communicate with the phone, and it uses the default camera application on any of the Moto Z devices. Use your phone to interact with the world around you in new ways - instantly transforming into a 360° camera, gaming console, powerful stereo speaker, video projector, battery powerhouse and more. However, the Slate Gray variant will be available exclusively on T-Mobile.

Motorola's 360 Camera Moto Mod is a snap-on back topped with a camera that captures 4K 360-degree videos, 36 audio via four mics, and 150-degree FOV stills.

The all-new Moto Z2 Force release date is officially set for August 10th in the United States and around the globe. It has a price tag of $299.99. This is the first flagship phone from Motorola sold on carriers other than Verizon in a long time.

In terms of USA availability, it's certainly nice to hear AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint shall join Verizon for a truly nationwide launch on August 10, preceded by July 26 pre-orders, but on the not so bright side of things, the 6GB RAM variant is exclusive to foreign territories.

The new Moto Z² Force Edition will roll out in Mexico, Brazil and various countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa starting later this summer.

Always be the first to know.
