Laurence Fishburne and Michelle Pfeiffer have joined the cast of the upcoming "Ant-Man and the Wasp".

Marvel announced that Laurence Fishburne will be playing Dr. Bill Foster, best known as another size-changer, Goliath, in Marvel Comics.

Next, audiences were treated to the first animatics and logo for the sequel, which is due to be released on July 6, 2018. The character has close ties to Ant-Man, as she's the daughter of Hank Pym - the former Ant-Man and a brilliant biochemist - and his wife and fellow adventurer, Janet. Along with Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige, the Ant-Man and the Wasp cast and crew knocked it out of the park with new footage, concept art and oodles of casting announcements.

The "Ant-Man and the Wasp" poster was revealed together with the three-part poster for the Avengers: Infinity War during their panel on San Diego Comic-con on Sunday.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but it's possible that the sequel could further explore Hank Pym's past and the devastating loss of his wife Janet after her disappearance in the quantum realm. Like Ghost, Burch started mostly as a corporate Iron Man villain, associated with Cross Technologies - the big bad of the first Ant-Man film, and instantly making sense why he'd be here. One gag shows him in his Giant-Man proportions peaking out from behind a building on a city street. Peyton Reed will return as the director, with star Paul Rudd and Gabriel Ferrari working on the script. Actor Hannah John-Kamen from "Black Mirror" will take on the role of the Ghost, a Marvel anti-hero who is skilled with electronics and computers.
