For US users this new update would start immediately, as for global users they would be able to use these features in a couple of weeks.

"Google has recently announced the launch of a 'personalised feed section" in the google app which is being redesigned.

Speaking to the Independent, Google described the reports as "not strictly accurate".

Machine learning, a type of artificial intelligence, requires a lot of data to train algorithms to address individual-level peculiarities and interests. Google Feed might recommend links in light of a client's Google search history and also information from other Google administrations, for example, YouTube, Gmail and Google Calendar, the organization said. Although the focus will be on showing the user fresh content, Google will veer more towards the role of an article aggregator. Google is working to change the way in which people discover information.

Many have reported that Google Feed is a direct attempt to compete with Facebook's News Feed, right down to the name, but representatives were quick to shut that notion down.

The global rollout of the new Google feature is expected to continue in the next two weeks, as the company expects to bring the new feed to users worldwide by that time. It will provide us the list of topics based on your interest. Every day droves of people consume news and content via social apps, giving Google's search engine a wide berth.

On mobile devices, similar features already exist for those who utilize Google Assistant and the Google app on Android devices. Instead, it wants to create another place to see a stream of relevant search results. You'll spend less time and energy trying to keep up with your interests and more time enjoying and cultivating them.

A company spokesman told Mashable that "sensitive topics" will not be included in the Feed. A new scrollable tap will present additional information about news, including fact checks, opinion pieces, and related stories.

The company chose to bring its own news feed on the Google app, for users of both Android and iOS.
