It's hard to believe that Pokemon Go has been out for a year now, with the game launching last July and creating the latest gaming phenomenon. Fluent asked the respondents a range of questions to gauge general interest, as well as questions based on whether or not the respondents now have the app on their phone.

Niantic is also planning a few other one year anniversary in-game and real-world events in the coming weeks and months.

For starters, trainers will be able to catch Pikachus wearing Ash's hat from the animated TV show.

The in-game shop will be selling Anniversary Boxes during that just over two week period. This is a special, limited-time deal specifically for Pokemon Go's first birthday, Niantic announced.

Pokémon Go's publisher, Niantic Labs, has teamed up with Big Heritage to organise a mass event that brings together Pokémon hunting and history by hosting a range of events at various heritage locations across the city. The image you can see below states that "Niantic, Inc, creator of Pokémon GO, will release a rare Pikachu" as part of a new experience.

While this appears to be the main, game-wide offering for Pokemon GO's Anniversary it may not be the only thing for players to enjoy this month.

For now, though, the focus is on the Ash Hat Pikachu and the Anniversary loot.

"On the weekend of Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 of July, events will be staged across Chester, including activities based at Chester Castle, which will be open to the public for the first time in 20 years".
