The "Fantastic Four" alum spent some time in a San Diego jail on Sunday after being arrested and charged with public intoxication. During questioning, Teller lost his balance and nearly fell in the street and was arrested "based on him not being able to care for his own safety", Hernandez said.

Teller was allegedly "showing symptoms of being intoxicated from alcohol"; he was slurring his speech, and he was stumbling from side to side with bloodshot eyes.

Upon questioning, Teller became uncooperative with police and lost his balance, almost falling into the street.

Teller is said to have been inebriated to the point of being unable to stand, according to TMZ.

"[Teller] was taken to the detox center where he was uncooperative and the staff rejected him".

The cop handcuffed Teller and took him to a detox facility, where he could sleep it off.

Despite reports to the contrary, Miles Teller is denying he was arrested over the weekend for public intoxication.

It was then that the police officers chose to arrest the actor, and he was placed in jail for four hours and was later released without bail.

Teller's publicist did not respond to messages from The Associated Press seeking comment Monday.
